WWE stands for World Wrestling Entertainment, and the name already gives clarification that this is the wrestling meant for entertainment. Therefore, the company has to keep the stories moving so the people would remain interested in watching the whole thing. The flagship event of WWE is the WrestleMania. WrestleMania has been conducted 31 times including the one that just took place on March 29, 2015. From an entertainment point of view this 31st event under the name of WrestleMania was quite awesome for the public. Most people have reviewed it as quite entertaining and well worth the time spent.
The main match at the event was the match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns, who’s quite an athlete with a strong built, is not considered by most a good competition against Brock Lesnar. Still, there were fans who thought he could give tough time to Brock Lesnar. However, things came out as a big surprise for the people as Seth Rollins took the decision of cashing his money in the bank and becoming the third participant in the match for World Heavyweight Championship.
His decision was right and he walked away gloriously with the title as the other two wrestlers stood in awe. This must be noted here though that Seth Rollins had earlier lost a match against Randy Orton. The match between the two was a thrilling one with Randy Orton finally taking his revenge with an RKO that will be remembered forever.
Another big match at the event took place between Triple HHH and Sting. Sting made his surprise appearance at WWE and accepted a challenge from Triple HHH for a singles match. The entire match was quite entertaining with Triple HHH walking out of the ring as the winner. The ending is being considered weak by most reviewers but the overall match was a great entertainment. A big question has been raised on the role of Sting in WWE though.
Daniel Bryan’s performance at the event in a ladder match is something to talk about for some weeks. He was standing against the odds of Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, R-Truth, Stardust, Bad News Barrett and Luke Harper.
Divas were given enough time at this WrestleMania and their match that lasted for nearly 7 minutes was a good entertainment for those who don’t opt for their matches as washroom and snack breaks. The winners of the Divas’ match were Paige and AJ Lee.
John Cena beat Rusev and held the title for WWE United States Championship once again. By winning this match John Cena snatched the title from Rusev, who Americans had been expecting to get a beating for his constant Anti-American talks and motives. He even waved the Russian flag once during the match when the live crowd started to chant “USA” at the peaks of their voices.
Undertaker fought for no title at this WrestleMania and had also had his WrestleMania streak blemished after losing against Brock Lesnar last year. Undertaker beat Bray Wyatt in a match that lasted for a little more than 15 minutes. Credit should be given to Wyatt too for not showing a hint of intimidation throughout the match against the Dead Man.
The overall reviews of WrestleMania 31 have been great from those who have been watching WWE for years and decades. The show was called an organized show with things appearing in just the right order. There were a few things that didn’t go as expected by fans but that’s just another way of keeping the fans interested and expecting.
Latest updates show that Brock Lesnar has received a suspension for his crazy and outrageous behavior after WrestleMania.
