Victorious Festival Gets New Acts

The final wave of acts have been announced by Victorious Festival with great pleasure for the event that will take place over August Bank Holiday. Primal Scream, Johnny Mar, Super Furry Animals, which are recently united and the legendary English songwriter Ray Davies will lead the horde. These new acts will be joining other headliners that were announced previously, including names like Tinie Tempah, Basement Jaxx and The Flaming Lips.

Last year, about 70,000 visitors were counted at the beautiful site of Victorious festival on Southsea Seafront. This year looks greater than ever because it has a lineup that’s fit to burst with some really popular names. The headline set of Ray Davies at Victorious is one of the limited number of dates this season. The order of the day is legendary status as Johnny Mar will also bring some past classics from his time in The Smiths and Electronic and some tracks from his two solo and acclaimed albums to the South Coast

On the other hand, Super Furry animals will be celebrating their reunion along with the re-launch of their Mwng album and Primal Scream appearing after a tenth studio album. The strong lineup becomes even stronger with The Mystery Jets, Cast and The Subways while some psychedelic infused pop will be brought to the Southsea Seafront by The Sunshine Underground. The crowds will also be entertained by Grant Nicolas, who released his first solo album last year along with The Zuton’s Dave McCabe who has some new material.

The lineup will be completed by hotly tipped newcomers Fickle Friends, Kim Churchill, Isaiah Dreads, Etta Bond, Michelle Stowdart from The Magic Numbers and the Wytches.

Victorious Festival is continuing to be one of the great festivals in the UK this summer as tickets are priced at just £25 for a day. Not only does the ticket to this festival treat you to a superb beachside location, but it also gives you access to a variety of seaside attractions including the Blue Reef Aquarium and the Southsea Castle. A beer festival will also take place on site for tempting the taste buds of the festival goers and entertaining everyone else.
